Cat O’Driscoll is the Social Democrats councillor for Cabra-Glasnevin on Dublin City Council.
A native of Cork City, Cat became politically active in the student movement while studying in UCC. In 2011/2012 she was elected VP Education in UCC Students’ Union and went on to serve two terms as the VP for Academic Affairs & Quality Assurance in the Union of Students in Ireland.
Cat finished up her time as a student activist with a year on the Executive Committee of the European Students’ Union and was recruited to coordinate the National Student Engagement Programme (NStEP) from its establishment in March 2016 until May 2019.
In June 2019 Cat joined the Crisis Text Line team, funded by the HSE to provide support to people in crisis, over text, helping them get from a hot moment to a cool calm.
